The Lone Star State has a legacy of independence and its people often proudly display it. Understandably so, for Texas' peers are more likely to be found on a global map than a regional one. In economics it would be the 8th most powerful nation on earth. In square measures it would be in the top 40, in population the top 50. Texas, naturally, has produced a full complement of world-class human leadership from all walks of life: scientists, artists, educators, sports figures along with significant business and political pillars.
On the natural front, physical characteristics of the giant state are delineated by giant steps as well. This, of course, is Greg Lawson's Texas. Proud stands of oak, pine and cypress reach toward the heavens and shade grateful receivers; seasonal processions of unending floral color brighten the flat-to-rolling earth; Chihuahuan charisma offers seemingly endless desert delights; all the while, abundant lower creatures swim, fly, swoop, amble, gallop, leap or crawl throughout melding and coexisting biospheres.
